By bus or bike

Edam and Volendam are located approximately 20 km (12 miles) North-East of Amsterdam.
Both towns have convenient bus connections with Amsterdam, as well as Hoorn and Purmerend.

If you can, take the bike. It's more fun. Holland has many convenient and safe cycling-tracks, so why not use them? But if you really must, take the car.

By car

The old towns of Edam and Volendam were originally designed to accommodate visitors arriving by tow-boat. Today's visitors coming by car, however, will most likely be directed to parking facilities just outside both towns. Don't worry, all events are located within a five or ten minutes walking range. Just follow the signs.
Disabled drivers can count on special parking facilities close to event locations. Just follow the signs. Make sure you can show your disability license.

Event locations

Most events take place at locations right in the town centre of Edam or Volendam, so you will find the event of your choice easily. Also, flyers with town maps and event locations will be available in both town centers at the Tourist Information Office, shops, public libraries, etc.
